Great Circle Trip

Today although the weather was crap.... my older brother and I went on a little adventure.
Across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, up to Rock Hall, Centerville, and then lunch in Chestertown.

We wandered up the shore, and there it was a sign that said "Elkton." So off we went. Up across the head of the Chesapeake Bay and down Route 40. Upon reaching White Marsh a mandatory stop-over at Ikea was called for. I'd been looking for a chair for the new desk in my room. Being unrealistic I didn't want to pay more than twenty dollars. Sure enough, they had a great chair for 19.99! Will it be natural, red or black? Black. It came in an interestingly small box. After our stop-over (did you know Pan Am had a 707 crash in Elkton in the early 1970's?) we took the beltway across the Key Bridge. My brother had never been that way before. He didn't know there was a drawbridge in the Baltimore Beltway!

Last night I hooked my the new Tivoli Audio Stereo System I bought. The sound is incredible, and it's almost impossibly small. Tonight I've been listening to stuff I dug out when cleaning: Meet Danny Wilson, Royal Crescent Mob, Tony Carey, and old Marshall Crenshaw. I guess it's all kind of old, eh?

Monday is back to work. Can't wait for that. Can't I have a toe amputated instead? It has been over two weeks. I can't even begin to imagine the pile of stuff waiting for me. (Oh Joy)-

Remember that March 27 will be the 30 year mark since the horror at Tenerife. May those who lost their lives rest in peace. May the rest of us never forget, and remember the valuable lessons learned that horrible day.

Good night, and be good!
