Mr. Sandmans concrete truck

The sandman has been pouring concrete in my head for the
last several days. I wake up and my head is clogged and to
say it hurts- is an underestimation. The air is thick is crud
from pollen to little fuzzy things: they're all on the loose!

Spring is really here in the Free State. Green leaves have
started to appear. Winter is gone! The tomato, squash,
pepper, and kohlrabi seeds are now all healthy plants and
have begun to be adopted out. Early Girl is the variety of
tomato, and last year they were a screaming success.

Crab season has started. Finally the State of Maryland
has done something to restrict the harvest of females from
the bay. Southwest Airlines Cargo smells of dead crabs
already. Yup, spring is here!

We have a Cargo Trip out of here on Monday. It should
prove interesting to say the least. You know about as
much as I do! I do look forward to it, it will be an adventure
to say the least. One hundred twenty thousand pounds of
main deck cargo.

Okay- let me run, I'll try to be a better boy about writing!

Demise

For those of you who don't know, ATA Airlines shut down
yesterday. It was a sad day for everyone involved. Not
just their employees who certainly are suffering, but for
those of us who have worked around and with them over
the years. I remember their early days. What a fun bunch
of people to be around. Too bad that's gone; forever.

When leaving Downs Park this morning, an Osprey was
struggling to say in the air. It was carrying a fish almost
as big as it was. It must have gotten it out of the Magothy
and was taking it over to the nest in the bay. You forget
how big those birds are until you all but run into them!

Next week is gonna be a busy one. Multiple departures
on four days. Whether or not that holds, remains to be
seen.

Okay- off I go.....
